2026 Spring Select

WILDCATS SELECT SOFTBALL PROGRAM

The Wildcats Select Program is Brea Girls Softball’s advanced competitive pathway, created for athletes ready to grow beyond the traditional Recreation season. Select teams are formed through formal tryouts, and roster spots are not guaranteed—only players who demonstrate strong fundamentals, commitment, and competitive drive will be selected.

Who Can Participate?

The Select Program is only available for the following divisions:

8U • 10U • 12U • 14U

What Is Select?

Select Softball is an enhanced training and competition program that runs in addition to our regular Fall and Spring Recreation seasons. Players receive advanced instruction, face stronger opponents, and gain meaningful preparation for All-Stars and higher-level play.

Program Cost

Please note: The Select Program includes additional fees to cover uniforms, umpires, tournaments, and team expenses. Exact costs may vary by season and team needs.

SPRING SELECT

Season: Early January – Late March/Early April

Spring Select is a competitive add-on to the Spring Recreation season.

To participate in Spring Select:

Players MUST be registered and actively playing on a Spring Brea Girls Softball Recreation team (per USA Softball rules)

Teams may only meet once per week, typically on Sundays

Travel Ball Restriction

Per USA Softball Yellow Book regulations, Travel Ball players are NOT eligible for Spring Select.

Starting January 1, 2026, any player who participates in any Travel Ball activities during the Spring Rec season will be ineligible for Spring Select.

This ensures fairness, maintains the developmental focus of the Select program, and keeps BGS compliant with USA Softball rules.
